TURANGI ARTWORKS EXHIBITION 2018
ARTWORK ON THE TONGARIRO Saturday 27 January until Tuesday 6 February
Turangi Artworks Inc hold their annual exhibition and sale at Shop 45, Turangi Town Centre.
It's time to start thinking about Art Trail 2018 and we would like expressions of interest so we can form an email list and send out more information.
As last year we will be offering an earlybird package that includes Art Trail fee (for guide with maps), website listing and membership renewal.
The website is currently getting an update which will mean you will all have a listing on the website that gives visitors a direct click through to your information from the Art Trail page. This is very exciting and should make for a better visitor experience to get to know more about each artist / gallery.
Taupo Winter Festival 2018 - Expressions of Interest
Taupo Art Connection and Active Arts have got together to plan what we might do for Taupo Winter Festival this year (13 - 15 July).
Both groups intend to collaborate to bring a range of fun family-oriented visual arts activities to the festival. These will be held at the Active Arts Taupo building.
EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST are sought for:
Workshops on Sat 14th & Sun 15th July for families / children. For these we need your ideas of what you might do, what materials/equipment you would need, costs of materials and how you would get children involved.
Please email* your proposal for your workshop by 31 January as we will be applying for funding to Creative Taupo / Creative Communities Scheme in February.
It's also sugggested that we include on the weekend:
Takeaway/goodie bags - for workshop attendees, these could include TAC & Active Arts information/fliers, workshop fliers, sponsors' goodies, etc. Let us know if you any ideas or sponsors for the bags or goodies.
Open Days Sat 14th & Sun 15th July - a display day of visual arts by both groups' members. Media for visual display - printmaking, pottery, painting, spinning, pumice carving,
Art Competition with a People's Choice Award. The entries to be displayed and for sale. Venue, theme, prize and other details TBC.
